Clique Kits - January Kit Love

Today I'm going to share a few projects I created using the Clique Kits January 2018 kit. When I saw this kit I KNEW I wanted to make some Valentine's cards. The purples and soft tones really spoke to me.

I paired the kit with some new stamps from Lawn Fawn. For the first two cards I created I took some pictures of my process. Using Tim Holtz Distress inks, I painted them onto some water color paper.

I mounted these pieces onto pattern papers from the Clique Kits Travelers Notebook kit. The pattern paper is cut at 3" x 4". You can also see in the pictures, I painted and die cut two of the cute Lawn Fawn: Sweet Friends treats, as well as hearts included in the stamp set.

The pattern paper pieces are mounted to 3" x 4" top folding cards.

Using foam adhesive, I popped up the water color pieces on the card base.

Next I stamped a greeting inside each of the cards using the Lawn Fawn: Sweet Friends stamp set.

For the outside of the card I stamped a greeting on purple card stock and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.

And this is the final result!! I loved working with my Clique Kits: January Travelers Notebook kit to come up with some sweet Valentine's cards. It goes to show that these kits are not just for Travelers Notebooks.

Special Project

Happy Tuesday,
I'm working (slowly) on a special project for one of my BEST friends! (I have shared this with her already, so she knows I'm posting it publicly). In (I believe) May/June of 2015 my best friend called me with some news (she lives in Washington)...she asked if I have room for 3 babies in my heart. I was thinking they are getting more dogs! Nope... she was pregnant... with triplets! So fast forward. They were born premature in November of 2015 (all are healthy 1 year olds now).

So, since my life is getting into a better routine and I'm done with school... I finally have time to work on their baby albums!! YEA! So yesterday I started and got 1 page done for each kid. I'm going to be putting this together in a 4x6 album or 6x8 album. I have not decided yet. And like I said...slow process still. But I wanted to share with you what I have so far!

Oh and one quick thing...don't forget to follow my NEW Instagram: LaceyAnnDesigns. I will be doing a giveaway soon!

They have 2 boys and 1 girl!

The layouts above were based on the Clique Kits: March 2017 Kit - Play (available a la carte in their shop). The collection that this kit is based around is Shimelle - Little By Little, which is perfect for starting these album. You can see I can make it very girly or add those boyish touches! The letter stickers are from other collections and things I had in my stash.

Products: Clique Kits: March 2017 Kit - PlayAlphas: Simple Stories (Sn@p: Typeset; DIY: Letter Stickers); American Crafts (Saturday Collection Thickers - Petals Black & White; Cedar Lane: Glitter Thickers); Jillibean Soup: Alphabeans

I'm Back

Hello, I'm back. I'm not sure how often I will blog, but I want to share my projects and be able to link products that I used and I find this to be the best platform to do so.

I'm into documenting Travelers notebook style. I find it fits my lifestyle better. It's a smaller spread and I feel like I am documenting things that reflect me more then just creating a layout. My latest spread includes my Starbucks drink and cake pop. I had two dreams in one night about wanting dessert. So I figured why not get some and document about it.

I had these adorable coffee ephemera pieces from Pretty Little Studio I wanted to use and they matched well with my Clique Kits Travelers Notebook kit that we released in February (now sold out, but I'll link to items that coordinate with that kit below).

Here is my workspace. At this stage I'm just trying to figure out what I want to go together. I created that embellishment cluster using Crate Paper: Oasis ephemera and some exclusive Clique Kits ephemera.

The spread coming together. I added that adorable coffee ephemera from Pretty Little Studio and what I think took me the longest time was finding black alphabet stickers to spell out my title.

The final result! I love how this spread turned out! The Clique Kits Travelers Notebook kit is so fresh and bright and I love how it paired with all the elements of this spread!

Thanks for stopping today. I hope to update this blog more often with projects I create and to share with you where I'm getting the products!

Clique Kits - April Blog Share

I am beyond excited to be joining in a Clique Kits blog share again!! It has been FAR too long since I've participated!!! Welcome everyone to the April blog share, I hope you enjoy all the inspiration along the way.
If you started here, head back to the Clique Kits blog to see the full line-up!
Alright enough chatting, here is my project I created using the April kit!

With this layout, I cut the pattern paper into 2" strips and fringed both sides.
I then used my sewing machine to add a stitch down the center of each strip, keeping the string long at the ends. I have to say, I was a little lazy and kept my purple thread in and I love it!! It adds more color and dimension.

And there you have it, the full layout! I layered on all the frames that came in the kit and used the ephemera to add more character to the frames and layout. The background is busy, so I kept the extra elements of the bag to a minimum and placed it in a vertical fashion.
Your next stop on the Blog Share train is Donna's blog! Check out the full line up below and don't forget to comment for a chance to win the April kit for yourself!!

Clique Kits: June Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Blog hop! If you started here, head back one blog to the Clique Kits blog! I LOVE the June kit, I wish I could clear my schedule more to use it! It is filled with so many fantastic products, papers and patterns! I can't wait to kill the kit with photos from the lake this summer and time spent with family and friends!

Today I'm sharing an 8.5" x 11" layout with this kit. I had a hard time starting this layout, but with input from crafty friends, I LOVE how this turned out.

his is what I started with. I was just not sure WHERE to start. I prepped my paper with Gesso and had this adorable picture of my puppy after his hair washing last month.
Here is my process of layering. Nothing is adhered down yet. Don't you just LOVE those gold chipboard letters?!
And here is the final layout. I added little bits to the layout as well as trim around the edge to leave way for a pattern paper frame, to ground the layout more.
Some close ups. I LOVE the transparencies in the kit! It adds a little extra texture to the layout!
 Look at that adorable face!!

Clique Kits: May 2015 Blog Share

Welcome!! So glad you are joining us today for our May Blog Share! I enjoyed working with this kit. The colors and patterns are really universal! Today, I will be sharing two layouts I created.

Rent A Family
Matt & I get the opportunity from time to time to "watch" our dancers. This past weekend at a dance competition, we had two of our dancers spend the night and we drove them down to the dance competition. We called ourselves a "Rent a Family". I would "rent" anyone of our dancers. They are all well behaved and keep us entertained with their wacky personalities.

My second layout, I decided to play with color. I'm still new at using Gelato's, but decided to play around with them. I think using a lots of color works with this kit as the papers have so many colors threaded through. I also highlighted this journal card that was included in the kit. I love all the colors and the water color look.

Thanks for joining us today! Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win this awesome May Kit: Carnival!

Clique Kits: April Blog Share

I can't believe ONE year ago we launched our first kit! Here we are a year later with sold out subscriptions and a wait list. It really is awesome to be apart of this company to help put together fantastic kits to help you all document your memories.

The challenge:  Celebration Month!
Show us a celebration of any kind for this month's Pep Rally- it could be a birthday, anniversary, wedding, reunion, or just an everyday party...you can either show us in a layout, make a card for any celebration, or  show us how you use your supplies for party decor-the sky's the limit!

My first layout is my "Celebration" Layout! The photo was from last 4th of July and Spock was playing outside with my nephews.
I was REALLY busy with this kit. I even have projects completed that I haven't even photographed yet.

Here is layout #2. I love my puppy (can you tell). This is one of him sleeping one afternoon.

Layout #3 is about me.  It is very rare that I wear my glasses and to take a picture is even more rare. But it is part of me and why not celebrate it. I also played around with water colors on this layout.

Layout #4 is again of my puppy. This picture was taking when we took a trip out to the lake last summer. He loves looking out the window in the truck.

I'll be sharing more April projects and Clique Kit: Spring Cards on my Instagram and Creative Facebook page in the next week or so. So, please follow to check out more!

March 2015 Blog Share

Happy March!! Thank you for joining us today for the Clique Kits Blog share! I just ADORE the March kit! I couldn't WAIT to break into it and scrapbook! Of course, every month Clique Kits likes to challenge their blog participants. So here is the March Challenge.

March Challenge Add a Pop of Neon to your Project.

I did just that with my first layout! Using the background diecut, I cut this out in kraft paper and than painted it with hot pink paint. I love the black and & white brush stroke paper, so I placed that die cut on top of this paper. It really added the pop I wanted!

The picture on this layout is of my dad & I right before he walked me down the aisle. I used a Pinkfresh Studio epoxy frame (from last April or June kit - I can't recall which one) to frame the picture and layered various embellishments from the kit! I also used the AlteNew origami stamp set to stamp the butterfly (now sold out, but we have another awesome AlteNew stamp Painted Flowers).
Supplies used: Clique Kits (March Kit 2015 - sold out); Clique Kits: March Cut File; AlteNew: Origami Stamp Set.

My second layout is of my puppy, Spock. This also has pops of neon against the very simple background. I used the really awesome transparencies to pop against the simple neutral background. These pictures were from last summer. My little pup loves big sticks and running around the backyard. This kit was perfect to highlight his spunky side.
Supplies: Clique Kits: March 2015 Kit; WRMK: Clearly Bold - Wood Stickers (from my stash)

I've had so much fun with this kit and still have so much more to use; which I can't WAIT to use up!

Of course we have a PRIZE giveaway today, so don't forget to leave a comment on my blog and all blog along the hop! A winner will be chosen out of all the comments, so the more blogs you comment on the better your odds are! Hopefully today is your Lucky day!

For the FULL line-up, go to the Clique Kits Blog.
You should have arrived from Erica's Blog.
Your next stop the card guru herself, Tyra! Can't wait to see what she has put together this month!

Thank you for joining us this month!!
