Holiday Cards - Post 2

Sometimes I get so busy I don't have a lot of time to create. That is why I love creating cards. They let me be creative, I can completed one in a short amount of time and feel like I accomplished something. Today I want to share with you some of the cards I created with the Clique Kits - Clique Cards: Holiday Edition Kit.

Card 1: I used a bunch of stamps, include something that were included in the kit and this set from Kaisercrafts and of course a bunch from my own stash to stamp this cards background. I layered on top some ribbon from the kit, the flair from the kit and I die cut the frame.

I love this deer from the Dear Lizzy die cut Clique Kits had available (it was so popular it sold out).
How about this darling deer?!? and that stamps! Both available inside the Clique Cards: Holiday Edition kit!

I still have lots of extras left from this kit and I hope to create more holiday projects with it. There is still one kit available in the Clique Kits shop. Get it before it's gone! I did create 11 cards with this kit and have one more card base left and LOTS of extras.

Thanks for stopping by today!

My mini album is called: 30 Days of Happiness. I'm not one to create a December daily or really follow a day to day album. But not being restricted to the holidays or a strict theme, I think I got htis! Though I have not filled my pictures it. I've decorated pages of my album and it is ready for journaling and for me to print pictures.
Here is the cover. I love the pink, grey and navy in this kit!

Clique Kits November Blog Share: Homecoming

Hello! Welcome to the November Pep Rally! Hope you have enjoyed some fabulous projects already on the tour. You should have arrived here from Erica's Blog. I love the creative talent she shares!

The November Pep Rally Challenge: Be inspired by the November Kit Mood Board! Show or tell the Clique what inspired your technique, layout, card, or other project using the November Kit Homecoming.

I was inspired by the black and white imagery of this mood board for my layout.
This is a picture of my puppy and I. I played up the yellow, black, white and gray papers in the kit, as well as the embellishments. This year I've found my self really drawn to neutral layouts with pops of color. This is also the first 8 1/2" x 11" layout I've done in years.

I also paired the kit items with past kit items and an add on. I used the wood veneer arrow by PinkFresh Studios from the October kit and "Love This" is a die cut we offered as an add-on for this kit (sold out). I love how I can continue using items from kit to kit!!

Now it's time to hop over to Marcia's blog! If you are starting here, be sure to head back to the Clique Kits blog and start from the beginning.

Clique Kits - October 2014 Blog Share

Welcome to today's SUPER sized blog share! So much excitement is happening at Clique Kits with the introduction of our design team this month! Well enough talk, LETS get started!!

The challenge:  Tell us or show us in a project why YOU are glad to live in a world where there are Octobers!

I'm going to share a few projects today, starting with a layout. I layered a bunch of items on this layout, including the strips at the bottom of the 12 x 12 papers. I highlighted a photo from my recent trip to Las Vegas with some close friends and family.

Next up, I created two cards with this kit.  This first card, "Hello There", plays up the purples in the kit. I used a variety of the purple papers and embellishments to create this card.

This second card was created with scraps, and a stamp set by Sweet Stamp Shop. It is a mini card and the with final fold measures 3" x 4". Inside I stamped the word please.

Finally, I used the two little bags in the kit to create treat bags. One is everyday themed, while the other is Halloween themed.

For this second bag I used a Tim Holtz stencil and Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background pattern. The border at top is part of a strip from the bottom of the 12 x 12 paper and the stamp set is an old set from Pink Paislee. A great way to feature a tag on a card or layout! Or even slip into a pocket protector for those project life albums.

And our Design Team is joining us and our fabulous subscribers today!! Enjoy!

Clique Kits - September 2014 Blog Share

Hello, welcome to my blog and the September Blog share for Clique Kits. If you are starting here, be sure to head back to the Clique Kits blog and see what we have to share from the beginning!

Did you see we are also offering a FREE cut file for today's blog share?! I just adore the paper airplane that I created for printables and flair, so I turned it into a cut file!

Alright, time to share my project! I am sharing a layout today that I created with a photo I took last week. My boss's wife came by the office last Monday and brought me this sweet treat! A cookie and Vanilla Latte from Starbucks! It was the perfect treat on a Monday morning!

As you see, I really focused on the greens in this kit! I've been waiting for the perfect layout to use that beam paper and this one just fit! I also used the negative of a speech bubble cut file, cut from kraft paper, painted  and stamped "More Coffee Right Now" (stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Now, it's time for you to see even more inspiration with our September kit!

The Cut Shoppe & Clique Kits Blog Hop

Hello!! You should have arrived here from Danielle's blog! Welcome to the Clique Kits & The Cut Shoppe Blog Hop!

Today's Line up!
Lacey Gasper (You are here)
Gina Lideros (Your Next Stop)

Today I'm going to share pieces of a mini album. This is a works in progress and the whole album will be shared next week at the Clique Kits Blog Share on Wednesday, September 24. But I really wanted to show how I used the die cuts in this album!

Lets start with the cover. I layered on a layer of the chalkboard paint and using a chalkboard bistro marker I wrote the word happenings.
The inside cover I covered with specialty paper I had in my stash and then layered on top a die cut from the Cut Shoppe! I love the texture and visual interest it gives.
I also love the notebook doodle hearts from the Cut Shoppe. I cut these out multiple times and used them throughout the album.
This is one of my favorite journal cards I added to this album! I cut the Today Word Bubble from the Cut Shoppe's - Just Sayin' cut file. I cut this in vellum, placed it on one of my favorite journal cards from the kit and splattered it with white paint.
This last page I have added those doodle hearts again (Told you I LOVE them!!)
Lets not stop there! We have prizes!! Don't forget to comment on each blog during the hop for a chance to win ONE of TWO great prizes!!

Prizes
  • The Cut Shoppe is giving away a $15 gift certificate to the store.
  • Clique Kits is giving away a a box of goodies from the September Kit including a Studio Tekturek paper pack and some Pinkfresh Studio goodies.
Thank you so much for joining us today! If you didn't start at the Clique Kits blog, head over there right now!

Have a scrap happy day!

Clique Kits Blog Share - August 2014

Welcome to the August Blog Share for Clique Kits! This months kit is called Glam Camp. If you love what you see, there are a few kits available in our shop a la carte! Clique Kits also has a few subscriber slots open. Join us before they are sold out :)

Now onto the challenge and my projects for the blog share.

August Challenge: "Wild and Free"

My first layout features a photo of myself. I cut out the phrase "wild & free" from the August printables. The background was a little bold for what I wanted for this layout, so I brushed white acrylic paint, watered down, on the background. I also LOVE the large flowers on MME: Ashbury Heights - Garden. So I cut a few out and placed on my layout.

Close up of a group of flowers and the photo.
The second layout is of my puppy at the lakes. I used a kraft paper background and added die cuts to the lower portion that were cut in kraft. I love the texture it adds without drawing too much attention away from the photos and the rest of the layout.

Finally, I created a birthday card using this kit! I love this sign die cut (available in the Clique Kits digi store). I cut it out in kraft paper and the sign and grass in pattern paper, which I stamped on. The sign pole I placed a stencil on top and rubbed on some brown ink. I love the burnt texture it gave.

Thanks for joining us today. Here is the line up for today's blog share! Next up, please visit Student of the Month (Guest Designer), Katie's blog!
