I have noticed that my blog is VERY random. A lot of people have a focus on a topic. But Not me...so I may make a new title - "Lacey's Random Life!" Sounds good huh?

Busy as a BEE

I feel like I have been so busy. I haven't even posted pictures from the cruise yet!! Well I have to Snapfish - but I can only email the link. SO If you want to see them let me know. Sunday or tonight I will try to get them up on photobucket so I can add a link.

Work has been busy this week as well. Plus, the Gasper DanceWear arrived on Wed. It looks soooooooo awesome. I will take pictures tonight and post. I designed all the logos and picked out the colors and items the logos would go on. I love it! Lots of work - but definitly worth it!

This weekend I'm going to the Cities for Emily's (friend & roommate in college) bachelorette party & Bridal shower. I am soooo excited - especially since I haven't seen her since we graduated. It's amazing how time flies and that I can't find time to see my good friends.

I hope to scrapbook tonight or sunday - so i'll post pics. I have so many pictures now to scrapbook. I am also ordering some papers and a 5 x 7 book for my cruise album. I don't know how i'm going to choose what pictures to put in it. I will also get all the other pictures printed from the cruise and just put them in a photo album.

1 hour left of work - i better find something to do! :D

BACK from the CRUISE

Matt & I are back from the cruise and we had an AMAZING time. It was so freaking awesome and not long enough.

The boat was a blast and there was so much to do and so little time to do it all. The food was great as well. I felt like we were always eating and there was a huge variety of food to choose from! And dinners were GREAT! We sat next to this mother & son (Mary & Dwight) who were on the cruise for Dwight's 21st birthday. They were great and gave us lots of crusing tips!

We also met a great group of people who we hung out with a lot!!! They were so awesome and we had tons of fun together and great stories. Matt & I will definitly have to go down to Florida to visit them!

I will have tons of pictures tonight (i'll post a link and a few on here).

Matt & I are planning a cruise in 2009. We would love it if Family & Friends would join us. We were thinking a 5 day cruise (that means we get off the boat twice). It would be so much fun to go with a big group of people we know and we hope to do that! So August 2009 keep your Calendars open for a 5 day cruise!!!

MemoryWorks August Express Kit

Well it has been awhile since I updated. I'm going on my cruise in only 3 days!!! I can not WAIT! I just have to start packing.

I got the MemoryWorks Express Kit for August last week and I wanted to share some of the projects I have made with it. This time around the altered item is an extra cost - and since the cruise is coming up - I don't have the extra money to buy it. So I made my own altered item out of the kit contents. I'm also sharing a card and a layout I made with the kit. (NOTE: These images are property of MemoryWorks - please do not take them.) You will just have to wait to check out the rest when it is up on the MemoryWorks website under their Gallery (located under inspiration).

Mini Album (made with the frame from the kit). I painted the frame with acrylic paint in blue and sanded the surface to make the metal come through after the paint was dry.

So there you have it. Some new projects! I probably won't post till after the cruise - where hopefully i will have some wonderful pictures to share. I may post again this week - just not sure when i'll have time since i'm leaving on Wed. Morning!!!!

8-Days!

I can't believe the cruise is only 8 days away!!! That is it! I am so excited. I bought 3 new pairs of flip flops this weekend (I needed some new ones). I am sure I will start packing this weekend cause i'm so excited!!!!

We leave August 8th and come back pretty much REALLY early morning on the 14th! I'm so excited to eat Pizza whenever I want (and i don't have to pay for it!) Go dancing, spend a day in cozumel, lay by the pool, and so much more! It is going to be so much fun.

I am definitly NOT on a diet when i'm on the cruise. However, I think I will still work out. They have classes on the ship and I think it would be fun to take some. So I'll have to check that out.

I know right now that 4 days won't be enough time! But I'm so fortunate to go that many days! I will definitly post pictures when i get back!

hot Summer day

Well it has been a busy past week!! Gooseberry park Players summer production of "Hood: The Musical" opened and the street fair took place downtown. Meaning not much parking and craziness!!

It is such fun paper to work.
I have been eyeing all the new stuff coming out. I am really impressed with BasicGrey. As I like their lines this past winter - it seemed like they were similar in a way and just like things I have seen in the past. But their new lines are STUNNING! The colors are awesome -the topics and their die cuts are AWESOME!

Autumn Leaves has pulled out all the trick again on their acrylic stamps. The christmas stamps are must haves in my book! They are definitly on my wish list!

I LOVE the Maya Roads stuff. They keep coming out with adorable mini albums. I love love love the bird album.

I'm usually not a Queen & Co. fan - not really my style - but i LOVE their new designs in their felt ribbon. Adorable!

And Heidi Swapp - Need i say more?

I do also have to say i love all the new christmas lines that are coming out! There are so many...i'm going to have a hard time choosing!

GSDPA Brochure

I worked on the studio brochure this weekend. Matt Loves it. I feel like it could be better - but maybe that is because I was looking at it all weekend. There are a few changes i need to make - other wise I think it is about ready to go to the printers. My next step is to work on getting the Gasper Dance Wear put together so we can get that ordered here in the next week or 2. I would love to have it by registration time!

Our cruise is in about 24 days! I'm so excited. We got our booking and boarding information last week! Now we just need to wait for Matt's passport. Hopefully it arrives this week. It is going to be such an AWESOME trip!!!

3 Day Weekend

I've had a great 3 Day weekend. I didn't do too much and probably have so much still to do - but I'm Lazy!

I have been working on an updated version for the Dance Studio's newsletter, geting ads together for Gooseberry, did some cleaning around the apt., and made some designs for Gasper Dancer Wear (I won't reveal it yet though). Oh and here is a page I created yesterday - inpsired by an ad.

New Title

So I played around with a Title to my BLOG tonight. Not sure if I LOVE it though. So i'm sure it will change a few times - until i make something i LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I don't have to work for the next few days. I'm already bored! I had to work the 4th of July - but i get a 3 day weekend instead. I'm totally okay with that. But my 3-day weekend is here and BORING! Everyone is out of town it seems like. Or i just don't have that many friends in town. Who knows.

I have been tanning (preparing for the cruise). I don't see much progress. But hopefully in a week or so I will.

Well off to maybe watch a Movie or More tv :D
