NEW - Dear Lizzy

I love love LOVE this time of year and the new products being released in the scrapbook industry. Just this week MemoryWorks has added the NEW American Craft line - Dear Lizzy. This line has been the talk of the industry this winter. Being one of the favorite paper lines released. Look how darling it is! I just love the cute little dresses and trees and clothes lines with banners and dresses on them!

MemoryWorks is also carrying the stamps, fabric paper, fabric brads, embellishments, ribbons, thickers and stickers!! This set will definitely brighten you up and get past the winter blues. The stamps below are the "Whistle Small Set". I love these sets because you get a lot of stamps for your money! My favorite stamps on this set is the music notes and "Have a splendid day" I can't wait to get my hands on these (I'm a stamp junky).

Don't forget to check my website out for the latest and greatest things to come to MemoryWorks. Also, stay tuned for the new 2010 Spring Catalog release, which will happen in March. Time to start saving my $$ for new products!

I still have some great items in my Etsy Shop. Don't forget to keep an eye on it for new things! Get your coffee cozies and be GREEN in the month of March! Remember - I take custom orders, so if you are interested please contact me. I create coffee cozies (color of your choice), fingerless gloves, hat & scarves wine toppers, and other requests (just ask). I look forward to helping your needs.

Well happy end of February!

AWWWWWWW

Wow this month has gone by pretty slow, but right now in the last week - not slow enough!! This weekend Matt & I are moving to a new apartment. Closer to the places we go. Not so far away from the world. It will take me about 4 minutes to get to work and won't take long to get to the studio either.

Now here comes the stress! I'm still unsure what DAY we move in!! I have to hire movers still and I'm terrified we won't find anyone. AWWWWWWW this is my stress!

This Friday I'm also holding a scrapbooking class (what great timing huh?). I'm very excited about it though and to share this project with my attendees! We are using the Cosmo Cricket: Material Girl line (which is DARLING!!) and creating a mini album. So I'm really excited. Hopefully this will relieve some stress. Hopefully.

And finally to add to the craziness of the week. I ordered recital costumes for the dance studio. I'm just freaked out b/c I'm afraid I missed someone (that would suck!)

Anyway. Next week my sweet little nephew turns one!! I can't believe he's already one years old. Man did the past year fly.

Don't forget to check out my Etsy store with some GREAT coffee cozies and other items! I also do custom orders - please contact me if you are interested!

Happy February

Hearts, red, pink, flowers, love, roses, and candy. Those are words that pop into a persons head when they hear the word February. My head thinks - HOLIDAY! It's my birthday!! February 17 is my birthday. This year it is on a Wednesday (and if I'm correct, I think I was born on a Wednesday - mom help me out with this one). As a kid I didn't know if I really liked my birthday in the middle of winter. I didn't get to play outdoor water games like my brother did (he has a May birthday). The party favors were great though, hearts, candies and pink! I remember one year my mom made me a heart shaped birthday cake with pink frosting.

Now when it comes to Valentine's, I guess I haven't ever really made a big deal out of this holiday. I figured, why not love that person and show them 365 days a year vs. going all out on one day of the year?

On that note, get your loved ones an adorable coffee cozy this Valentine's day! It will sure light up their day! There are some GREAT options in my Etsy Shop - LaceyBug Creations! Check out the cozy to the left. I have used a cable stitch to create this stylish coffee cozy that will fit around your coffee mug.

On Friday, February 26, 2010 @ 7pm - I will be holding a scrapbook class! We will be creating a mini-album using the NEW Cosmo Cricket Lines. If you live in Fargo (or near by) and are interested in taking this class, please email me at lacey.memoryworks@gmail.com for more information!!

28?

In 2 weeks I will be 28?!? I find that so interesting. When I turned 25, I FREAKED out. I was seriously going through a quarter life crisis (and was interviewed by the local paper about it). Now I'm almost 28 and I haven't even thought if I'm going to do anything for my birthday. I always seem to have something planned. Does this mean I'm really settling into life and don't need to celebrate my birthday and I'd be okay with that?

In other news. It's not to late to sign up for my crafting e-newsletter. I share information about MemoryWorks, Knitting, Etsy, Scrapbooking, upcoming classes and a project to share! I hope to dabble in sewing as well. I really hope it inspires other crafters and gives ideas.

The layout in this blog is from the MemoryWorks January Express Kit. This year I'm making 8x8 layouts out of the MW Express kits. They are quick and easy to make. I love the size and you can still embellish them to the extreme! I bought an American Crafts album to house the layouts.

Well that's it for my RANDOM blog today! Hope to have some February MemoryWorks Express Kit projects to share soon.
